Bandoleros racing
Bandoleros are a great form of racing for kids of all ages and skill levels. Starting as early as age eight and going up to age 14, Bandoleros provide a safety-conscious but exciting level of competition.
While the acceleration of the ___ horse-power motors is purposely toned down in order to keep the cars, and the racing, more manageable, they can reach speeds of nearly 60 mph on the straightaways.
Bandoleros are designed with safety in mind. Their custom-built chassis provide a large area of cushion in order to help keep drivers safe in the event of an impact. Drivers are also belted in with fully-secured lap and shoulder safety harnesses, as well as an approved HANS device (HANS stands for Head And Neck Safety) to support the head and neck in the event of an impact.
Bandoleros also expose young racers to the daily operations of the bigger cars series because they usually race on the same tracks as Legend cars and, at some tracks, like the Bullring in Las Vegas, they even run on the same tracks as the Stock Cars. In addition, at tracks such as Toyota Speedway at Irwindale, the drivers get to practice their public speaking skills as usually six or more drivers are interviewed in front of the crowds of thousands of spectators after each race.
